Work in the High Country

Sat Jan 3, 2009, 12:40 PM
Well I am just going to bash out a quick note that I am back off to work after the christmas break, up in the mountains out in the country far away from civilised things like the intronets!

I just hope I will be able to bring back a few nice pictures!

love all your HDR stuff (:
i wanna try some but English sunsets here are shite to be honest haha
nice stuff (:
:iconrueful-anger:
Thank you very much :)

Sure you don't get lots of pretty sunsets seeing as you have all those clouds which could turn a fiery red?

I really want to visit England next, well all of the UK in fact (:
:iconmebc:
no problem (:
haha well you know the wonders photoshop can do ^^
one of my wishes is to take a picture of a sunset by see and mountains.
I'd just love to go anywhere hot
anywhere haha
:iconrueful-anger:
ARh why P-shop efforts have not been that wonderful :P

well all my sunsets here are over the mountains as you can see. I am used to the sun rising over the pacific, when I was in California I got to see it setting over the pacific. That was a memorable moment, to have seen the sun rise and set over the same ocean.

Yeah I love hot weather, board shorts + thongs + singlet/T-shirt = win :)

And how much music do you need? Well, I have a 120gb iPod Classic, and it doesn't hold even half my mp3 collection. :)
:iconrueful-anger:
I think the exact quote was how much 'music do you need at one time' "one" being the operative word harahr :D

I also have a ridiculously large MP3 collection but I swap out albums on my iPod often, I don't think I have ever listened to more than 16 GB of MP3's in the one sitting harharha :P

I do a load of roadtrips for work, so I need enough music to last 2 weeks on the road, sometimes with interstate travel. Then, it depends on m music mood. I have classic prog, neo-prog, prog-metal, post-rock, ambient, tranquil, industrial, remix, stay awake at the wheel and experimental playlists that I swap between, and then there are the artist lists.... 324 NiN and NiN remix tracks, Porcupine Tree and Steve Wilson projects, Sigur Ros/Mum/Amiina etc that I sometimes choose.

At the moment it is Peter Gabriel's soundtrack from "Passion:The last temptation of christ" on my 5.1 surround system.
:iconrueful-anger:
Harhar, mad, I have recognised you problem, you like too much music, wait, wait, no I don't think that's possible!!

I love to throw a bit of solo piano or string orchestra on the stereo, its a mood changer, I love it, so much ....substance... I fail at articulating at the moment... honours thesis = me on the PC witting all day everyday for the last 3 days... in fact, its time for some Phillip Glass.
:iconfuriousennui:
I'm listening to Norwegian prog rock group, Gazpacho, at the moment... their recent release, "Tick-tock".

And, no, it isn't possible to love music too much.
:iconfuriousennui:
Thanks for the favourite! 'tis greatly appreciated! :) I hope that you enjoy the other images in my gallery as well! :)
